Situada justo en el límite entre los populares barrios de las Letras y Lavapiés, la finca data de 1880. El piso, resultado de una singular subdivisión realizada con anterioridad, cuenta con 77 m², cuatro balcones y techos de casi cuatro metros de altura.

El programa era sencillo: una vivienda para una pareja que recibe invitados ocasionales y celebra frecuentes reuniones con amigos. Se optó por respetar la estructura original de muros de carga, adaptando la distribución a los huecos existentes y conservando íntegramente los únicos elementos originales que permanecían en la vivienda: las balconeras, con sus contraventanas interiores y exteriores.

Los propietarios se involucraron  en todo el proceso, desde la definición del proyecto hasta la selección de materiales y colores. Su personalidad  queda totalmente reflejada en el hogar ya terminado.

​Located right on the border between the iconic neighborhoods of Las Letras and Lavapiés, the property dates back to 1880.The apartment, the result of a rare previous subdivision, offers 77 square metres of living space, four balconies, and ceilings reaching almost four metres in height.

The brief was straightforward: to create a home for a couple who occasionally host guests and frequently gather with friends. The design strategy focused on preserving the original load-bearing wall structure, adapting the layout to the existing openings and carefully retaining the only original features that remained in the apartment: the balcony doors and their interior and exterior shutters.

The owners were involved throughout the entire process, from shaping the design concept to selecting materials and colours. Their personality is fully reflected in the finished home.
